Borrowed Power

Day 11 (Mar 2nd)
Day 11 (Mar 2nd)

Romans 8:11

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

Some days you don’t need a pep talk. You need a power source.

That’s what Romans 8:11 is saying. The same Spirit who walked into a sealed tomb and pulled Jesus into daylight lives in you. Not near you. Not around you. In you. God didn’t just forgive your sins and then say, “Good luck out there.” He moved in.

So when you’re running low—when your patience is thin, your body is tired, your courage feels small—you’re not stuck with only “your best.” You get to lean on His best. Resurrection power is not just for Easter Sunday. It’s for Monday afternoon when the calendar is packed, and your soul feels scraped raw. It’s for the long season when prayers feel like they bounce off the ceiling. It’s for the moment you want to quit, but you whisper, “Jesus, give me one more step.”

Notice the promise: God will “give life to your mortal bodies.” That’s future hope—yes, a real resurrection is coming. But it’s also present help. God breathes strength into weak places. He puts steady in shaky knees. He gives grit when your feelings don’t cooperate. Not because you’re tough, but because He is alive in you.

A resurrection-shaped voice doesn’t say, “I can handle this.” It says,

“Christ in me can carry me.”

So today, don’t measure your life by your battery level. Measure it by your power source. The Spirit who raised Jesus is with you and in you—and that Spirit doesn’t run out.

Prayer: Father, I confess how quickly I rely on my own strength. When I’m tired, anxious, or worn down, remind me that Your Spirit lives in me. Give life to my tired body, courage to my weary heart, and grit for the next right step. Let my words sound like resurrection today—steady, hopeful, and brave—because Jesus is alive. Amen.

Have a great day!
