Food Pantry

Martin's collects nonperishable food for the Casselton Food Pantry, which is located at 602 1st Street North (Entrance is on 6th Avenue).

Christmas Giving

Martin's supports the First Link's giving tree by buying gifts for the needy. We also fill shoeboxes with small gifts for the Homeless Shelter and the youth make fleece blankets for the Homeless Shelter.

Lutheran World Relief

We donate school supplies for school kits and items for personal care kits for the needy. We also send quilts and sewing kits to Lutheran World Relief.

Sunday school

Church School classes for 4 year olds-5th graders are held at 10:30 am on Sunday morning. This will include an opening session with singing and a classroom experience too.

Adult Education

Adult education classes will be held at 10:30am after worship on Sundays starting October 2nd. Separate classes will be held at 9am and 6pm on Wednesdays starting September 28th. Contact the church office at (701) 347-4289 for more information.

Confirmation Classes

Confirmation classes for 7th - 11th graders are held for six to twelve week sessions during the school year. Additional six week classes for fifth and sixth graders are also held. Confirmation Sunday for eleventh graders is held each October. See youth opportunities or call the church office at (701) 347-4289 for more information.

Quilting

Martin's women gather at 9:30 am on Wednesdays in fall and winter to assemble, tie and sew quilts. They meet until about 2:00 pm and have a potluck at noon. Quilts are distributed to area shelters, quilt auctions and Lutheran World Relief. All women are welcome.

MOPS

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets the first and third Mondays of the month at 6:30pm. Speakers, crafts, snacks, and fun. Please contact Ashley Coles (701-371-3016) with any questions.

Bible Study

Rachel Circle meets on the first Thursday of the month at 2:00 p.m. in the Mary Martha room to study the lesson in Gather (formerly Lutheran Women Today) the ELCA women's magazine.

Acts 29

Acts 29 is a weekly Christian Education group for High Schoolers in grades 9-11. They will meet at 10:30am after worship on Sundays to explore the lesson from worship while learning and growing to go out and show their acts as Jesus' disciples in today's world.

Youth Activities

There will be monthly youth activities throughout the year ranging from fun youth gatherings at the church or at an event near by to volunteer work and mission trips. These will range from activities for grades 6-8 and 9-12 to activities for the whole family to enjoy. Keep an eye on the newsletter and your email for information on Youth events.

BLAST

BLAST is a weekly Christian Education group for Middle Schoolers in grades 6-8. They will meet at 10:30am after worship on Sundays to discuss the lesson and dive deeper in to their Bibles and other forms of Christian life and learning.
