Romans 5:10 – “For if, when we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life.”
Before you ever prayed a prayer, shed a tear, or took a step toward God, God had already taken every step necessary toward you.
You are not saved because you believe; you believe because God has already saved you through Jesus. Faith doesn’t cause salvation—it opens your eyes to it. Repentance doesn’t earn forgiveness—it shows that grace has already gone to work in your heart.
We sometimes flip the order. We think, if I’m good enough, if I pray hard enough, if I mean it enough, then God will accept me. But that’s not the gospel. The truth is this: you are right with God not because of what you’ve done, but because of what Christ has already done.
At the cross, Jesus didn’t just start something—He finished something. “It is finished,” He said, and heaven echoed the words. His death tore down the wall that separated us from the Father. And His resurrection breathed life into that relationship again.
The moment you trust Jesus, the miracle happens. Grace rushes in like sunrise after a long night. You may not understand how it happens, but you know it does. You are forgiven. You are loved. You are new.
Our salvation doesn’t rest on feelings, logic, or effort—it rests on the unshakable foundation of the cross. The work of being made right with God—justified and sanctified—has already been done. Christ’s death and life cover it all.
So, rest easy. You don’t have to earn God’s favor—you already have it. You don’t have to fix your past—He’s already redeemed it. You don’t have to finish what Jesus started.
“It is finished.”
Have a Great Week!
