🎉 Did you know? October Was Bursting with Blessings at Martin’s!

Wow—what a month at Martin’s Lutheran Church! From early morning pancakes to late-night campfires, October was packed with laughter, faith, and community. God’s people were busy doing what they do best—connecting, serving, and celebrating together!

🥞 Rise & Shine!There’s no snooze button on faith when pancakes are involved! Approximately 20 students arrived bright and early for each Rise & Shine breakfast. Between the syrup and smiles came devotions, crafts, and plenty of good conversation before the walk to school. It’s the sweetest way to start the day—both literally and spiritually!

👨‍🔧 Men of Martin’s Making a Difference. Our Men of Martin’s event was full of fellowship and generosity. Pastor Devlon Brooks, CEO of Churches United, joined the group and received a $1,000 check to support their mission to the homeless—and the Casselton Ministerium matched it with another $1,000! That’s $2,000 going straight toward helping those in need. Faith in action!

🤝 Welcome, New Members! We’re thrilled to welcome 16 new members into the Martins’ family! Each new face represents a new story of faith, connection, and belonging. We can’t wait to grow and serve alongside you.

🏕️ Inspiration Point Adventures Our youth headed to Inspiration Point for two incredible fall retreats. Nineteen kids from grades 4–6 spent a weekend filled with campfires, Bible study, and friendship. Then four of our 7–9th graders followed up the next weekend with their own adventure—building faith and leadership skills that will last far beyond the campfire glow.

🎃 Trunk or Treat Triumph! If you were anywhere near Martin’s on October 26th, you know it was hopping! Over 350 people enjoyed a free spaghetti dinner, and more than 500 neighbors filled our parking lot for trunk-or-treating. Thirty trunks were decked out in creative themes, overflowing with candy, smiles, and a sense of community spirit.

🔥 Fire Pit Nights There’s something special about firelight and friendship. About 20 students came out for each Fire Pit Night—laughing, roasting marshmallows, and reflecting on faith beneath the stars. Simple. Sacred. S’mores.

🎬 Popcorn and a Movie! Who says church can’t be fun on a Wednesday afternoon? 25 students gathered for snacks, a movie, and sub sandwiches. Popcorn may have been spilled, but the joy definitely wasn’t contained!

✝️ Reformation Sunday Confirmation On Reformation Sunday, 23 high schoolers boldly confirmed their faith in Christ during a powerful worship service. The congregation, dressed in red, celebrated their commitment and God’s faithfulness. It was one of those Sundays that fills your heart to the brim.

💰 A Month of Generosity October’s giving totaled $36,500—well above our budgeted $28,833! Your generosity keeps the ministries of Martin’s thriving—from Sunday School to mission outreach, from breakfast pancakes to campfires.

October was a month of joy, growth, and grace—and we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for making Martin’s a place where faith comes alive and love overflows.
