A Quiet Room, A Listening Father

ree

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6 (NIV)

Sometimes life feels loud. The phone dings. The schedule fills. The worries stack up like laundry waiting to be folded. And in the middle of all that noise, Jesus gives us a simple invitation: “Come talk with Me.”

Notice, he doesn’t ask us to pray fancy prayers or impress anyone. He doesn’t tell us to stand on a stage or use big church words. He simply says, “Go into your room. Shut the door. Talk to your Father.”

Quiet. Simple. Personal.

Jesus knows something we forget: Your Father hears whispers just as clearly as shouts. He sees the tear on your cheek. He feels the weight you’re carrying. And in the quiet place, He meets you—not with judgment, but with love.

Prayer is not about getting God to notice you. It's about reminding your heart that He already does.

So today, find a quiet corner. Close the door—literally or figuratively—and breathe. Tell him what’s on your mind. Tell Him what hurts. Tell Him what you hope for.

And trust this promise: Your Father sees you in secret. And He rewards you—not with trophies or applause—but with His presence, His peace, and His steady hand guiding your day.

Have a Great Week!
